Last fall, we asked members to share their experience with changes to environmental health budgets. A summary of the results are shown above.
Although there are indications that the economy is improving, it may be some time before we see a corresponding improvement in state and local health department budgets. Please feel free to comment on the changes that have occurred in your jurisdication. How have those changes impacted your community?

Kudos to NEHA for this survey. The results of this project forms a start for developing priorities to elevate the Environmental Health profession and the Environmental Health professional on both a political and community basis. I am always most willing to work with NEHA and any other entity on taking taking the next step and use this information to make positive inroads for our profession and the people we are protecting.
